Sample Timeline

Morning & Getting Ready (1:00 PM - 3:30 PM)

· 1:00 PM: Photographer arrives at the bride's getting ready location.

· What we're doing: Capturing all the special details of the day before they're worn or used: the dress, shoes, jewelry, veil, and invitations.

· Pro-Tip: Have these items gathered in one place to ensure we can get right to work.

· 1:30 PM: Hair and makeup is wrapping up for the bride.

· What we're doing: Capturing candid moments with the bride, her bridesmaids, family, and friends as they get ready together.

· Pro-Tip: The best photos often happen near a large window, as natural light is the most flattering.

· 2:00 PM: The bride puts on her dress.

· What we're doing: We will capture this special moment with the help of a mother or a few bridesmaids.

· Pro-Tip: Ensure that everyone who is helping is ready to go at this point.

Pre-Ceremony Photos (3:00 PM - 3:45 PM)

· 3:00 PM: "First Look" session (optional).

· What we're doing: A private, emotional moment for the couple to see each other for the first time.

· Pro-Tip: This is a wonderful way to get some private portraits out of the way before the ceremony begins, and it can help ease nerves!

· 3:15 PM: Wedding Party Portraits.

· What we're doing: Group photos with the entire wedding party.

· Pro-Tip: The more organized your group is, the faster and smoother this will go.

· 3:30 PM: Photographer heads to the ceremony location.

· What we're doing: Capturing the empty ceremony space, decor, and guest arrivals before the bride's grand entrance.

Ceremony (4:00 PM - 4:30 PM)

· 4:00 PM: Ceremony begins.

· What we're doing: Capturing all the key moments, from the processional and vows to the ring exchange and the first kiss as a married couple.

· Pro-Tip: Try to be fully present and enjoy the moment. Your photographer will handle capturing it all.

Post-Ceremony & Golden Hour (4:30 PM - 6:00 PM)

· 4:30 PM: Family Portraits.

· What we're doing: Posed photos of the couple with their immediate families.

· Pro-Tip: Have a pre-made list of family groupings and assign a family member to help round everyone up. This is a big time-saver!

· 5:00 PM: "Just Married" portraits of the couple.

· What we're doing: This is a chance for some quiet, romantic portraits of just the two of you right after the ceremony.

· 5:30 PM: Golden Hour Portraits.

· What we're doing: Taking advantage of the beautiful, soft light just before sunset for some truly magical photos.

· Pro-Tip: This is often the best time for photos, so we'll want to prioritize this window.

Reception (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM)

· 6:00 PM: Cocktail hour begins.

· What we're doing: Capturing the reception space details, as well as candid photos of your guests mingling and enjoying themselves.

· 7:00 PM: Grand Entrance & First Dance.

· What we're doing: Capturing the energy and excitement as you make your grand entrance and share your first dance.

· 7:30 PM: Dinner, Toasts, and Dancing.

· What we're doing: We'll be capturing the toasts, parent dances, cake cutting, and all the fun candid moments on the dance floor.

· 9:00 PM: Photographer's coverage concludes.
